As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2026, Casper Technologies Nigeria Limited visited Grant Schools, Lagos, for a Corporate Social Responsibility outreach focused on cybersecurity awareness, mental health, and student well-being.

Promoting Online Safety Among Young People

Young people are spending more time online, whether for learning, communication, or entertainment. From phishing links and online scams to privacy risks and unsafe digital interactions, students need the knowledge to recognize potential threats and respond appropriately.

During the outreach, students participated in cybersecurity awareness sessions designed to make digital safety more relatable to their everyday experiences. The activities encouraged them to think critically about their online behavior, protect their personal information, and build safer internet habits.

The sessions also addressed mental health and well-being, recognizing that a safe digital experience goes beyond protecting devices and data. Led by Mosope Onanusi and Titi Akintan, founder of Brazen Steps Therapy, the discussions highlighted the importance of healthy digital habits and personal well-being.

This year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month theme, “Don’t Make It Easy for Them,” encourages everyone to recognize digital risks and take practical steps to protect themselves online.
